Hello, my name is Amber. I live in Columbus, Ohio – born and raised, despise the cold, but still here for some reason I reside with my husband, our daughter, our 70lb brindle rescue dont know what she is doggo and a neighborhood tuxedo cat that has basically forced himself into our home and is now family.

My Achilles heel is that I genuinely love people. Like I genuinely love other humans. I became a registered nurse back in 2013 with big dreams to positively impact the health of each person I met. Over my five years as a nurse at Grant Medical Center, I learned not only that bedside nursing is immeasurably challenging, but that in order to truly guide patients down a healthy treatment plan Id have to get my advanced degree. And so, I did. And again, I sprang into my new role as a Family Nurse Practitioner with bright eyes ready to heal the world! 6 years later I’m learning that even as an advanced practice nurse, our healthcare system makes it challenging to dedicate the necessary time and education our patients deserve. As providers we are constantly told (by our employers) to see more patients with less resources, less staff, and less time. Ultimately our patients and their health suffer from our lack of attention and instruction.

Why I started:

Despite how civilized, technologically advanced, or wealthy our nation is, the United States has some of the worst health outcomes in the world. I want to change this. My mission has never changed, I still want to positively impact the health of others.

My dream is to create the ultimate wellness space where our services fortify the pillars of wellness mental/spiritual health, physical health, and nutritional health. And so, Nurture Aesthetics & Wellness was born. Get it, Nurture.

To date weve expanding our services to encompass weight management, IV hydration, medical grade skincare and aesthetics services. I hope to grow into a space where we can add meditation, counseling services, massage, physical movement, and fellowship.

What I love about being a business owner:

I pride myself in being well informed. I was the nosy bedside nurse, the kid at the front of the classroom that asked a lot of questions, and yes, I graduated with a 4.0. I believe that knowledge is power. This transcends into my work daily my goal is to partner with you on your health journey, give you sound advice, and then help guide you on your chosen path to wellness. Growing a small business has allowed me to channel my love for education, mentorship, and empowerment in a meaningful and impactful way.

What type of impact do you hope to have on those you meet and/or who purchase your products?

The impact I hope to have on my patients comes directly from my values: empowering them with knowledge, fostering confidence in their health and aesthetic choices, and creating a collaborative, personalized approach to care. My goal is to inspire trust and provide a space where they feel supported, educated, and in control of their wellness journey. By prioritizing education and mentorship, I aim to help my patients not only achieve their goals but also develop lasting confidence in maintaining their health and well-being.

Who or what inspires you?

What inspires me is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Im driven by the belief that knowledge is power, and sharing that knowledge to empower others fuels my passion. The trust my patients place in me, their growth, and their transformation inspire me to keep learning and evolving. Im also motivated by the ripple effect of mentorship knowing that my guidance can positively impact not just my patients but the broader community.

What is your favorite piece of advice you’ve ever received or favorite quote?

You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection – Buddha

What does BEAUTY mean to you?

To me, beauty is about confidence, authenticity, and self-expression. It’s not about perfection but about embracing who you are and enhancing what makes you feel like the best version of yourself. Beauty radiates from within it’s the glow of self-love, the strength in vulnerability, and the courage to show up as your true self. My goal is to help others see and feel their beauty, empowering them to shine in their unique way.

Anything else you’d like to share?

I would like others to know that true wellness is a journey, not a destination. Its about nurturing every aspect of yourself mind, body, and spirit while being patient and kind to yourself along the way. I want them to understand that they are not alone in this process; we are partners in their health and wellness. Small, consistent steps lead to meaningful and lasting change, and investing in their well-being is one of the most powerful things they can do for themselves and those they love.
